Connection changes to Proxy Server ?

In the Control Panel-Internet Properties-Connections-Lan Settings- My Proxy Server is checked and under the Advance setting there is a Proxy address both HTTP and a Secure. When I delete the address - Port and uncheck the Proxy Server Box and then Check the Automatically Check settings Box after a few minutes it returns back to the Proxy being checked and the same address-Port. Can someone explain why this is happening ? I am running Windows 7 64Bit.

    Welcome to the Seven Forums.

You are not alone in seeing this behavior.

See these relatively recent threads here and here.

Do you want to try the things mentioned in this post?

Do you have any programs from IOBit installed and that includes Advanced System Care?

I did have those at one time but have deleted them last week when I read they might interfere with it.

Some things that come to mind.

Their is still some of IOBit in your computer using Proxy to call home and or you system is infected.
You could try using a restore point before all this Proxy thing started.

I would recommend using a different clean computer changing ALL passwords and personal information.

Then I would scan the system for infections. I have never used Hitman Pro so I know nothing of this program. Check and see if their is a setting in Hitman Pro for a Proxy setting.
Windows 7 isn't setting Proxy but rather another program is setting the Proxy setting back every time you change it.
**Once you have had IOBit on your computer their is a very good chance you will have to do a Clean Install. We have tutorials for that if need be.

I have completely removed any and all traces of "IOBit". All files, dlls hidden, Everything and after afew reboots it appears to be running normal again. Thank you all who helped as I had questions on two different forums. They all had said that "IOBit" was the problem.

Don't forget to run security scans.
If you need help with them just ask.
Believe me IOBits probably hid some buddies in your system.
