If you reset the switch there must be GUI or else an Unmanged switch which is a DHCP client and receives DHCP from the router.

As far as MAC addressese go routers work off Mac adresseses which is your physical address so do switchs not unque there.

DHCP client if your switch isis receiving an IP address from the router.

Make and model of the switch in question please?

It's an unmanaged DGS-1024D Gigabit switch

Which means al DHCP comes from the router you don't have GUI.

OK, that makes sense because the issue is still occurring even when the internet NIC is plugged straight into the DHCP server.

It has to do with the metrics for sure. I have tried the metric at 32 for the console which works well. I can bring the internet metric from 80 all the way down to 35 with the console still functioning, the internet refuses to work regardles. The gateway metric is set to automatic. If I set the gateway as a high metric all packets will be passed there first correct? I can't really see a way to make these two interfaces play nice.

What about port blocking or DNS blocking the interface for the console on port 80?

The only difference was moving from the switch to the router which has no bearing on the issue. The problem returned in both cases. That's why the issue isn't marked solved.

You've marked it solved and again it is not thats why i asked you to backtrack.

Lets see an ipconfig /all from the probmatic computer.
Also does it now work directly from the router now?

Doesn't work from router. It seems to work for a while then stops after a day or two. It worked before heading home on friday and today doesn't work. It's odd how it functions and after some time doesn't. The only way to get it working again is to offset the metrics or replug. The metrics would lean towards the faster port and right now the internet is on the faster port.
