Remote Desktop cannot connect from my PC to server but my laptop can
The problem I am having is that I cannot connect to a remote computer (windows Server) with Remote Desktop.
I know that everything is configured correctly in Remote Desktop. In fact, I was able to connect to the server using my Wife's Laptop after I moved the .rdp file from my computer to hers.
Both computers are on the same network (Comcast Business, D-link router, only difference is that the PC is plugged in and the laptop uses WiFi).
Both computers have Norton 360 (the one that comes free with Comcast) and both computers use Windows 7 x64
Clearly, there is something running on my computer that prevents me from connecting using Remote Desktop. I have tried going after the usual suspects, like skype, Windows 7 firewall, etc. Nothing so far has allowed RDP to connect to the server. Meanwhile, from my wife's laptop it's easy as pie.
It's getting pretty frustrating and I was wondering if anyone has any good suggestions in this regard or something I could use to test the connection.
Thank you.
