    Remote connect over the internet

    Hello

I will be installing a pc at a public location to run custom software. There will be times that i need to make updates to the software.

How can i remotely connect to the pc over the internet? I do not want to use teamviewer because teamviewer opens a small window that shows that someone has logged on with teamviewer.

If there is no other solution then I guess i will have to go with teamviewer.

    Regards,
    Elena

    Hi elena,

You could try TightVNC. I use it at work and do not remember ever seeing a box showing after remoting in showing someone had logged in. It is open source.

Depending on your need you could use plain and simple Windows remote desktop but the 'user' would be required to be logged out as it will log the user out. One way to hide you entry.

I question your motives but that's not for me to decide.

    Regards,
I don't understand, "question your motives"? Boot-up speed and simplicity is the reasoning. He uses the internet 100% of the time. Why does he need to carry anything, but the internet?
