ICS with XP requiers manual DNS? + unidentified network

    Hi,
    2 questions, kinda related.
My PC, Win7 ultimate 32bit, is sharing internet on ICS with another XP sp3
    PC.
Both computers are connected by normal wired LAN.
Internet is via broadband dialup through another NIC that connected to a modem.
ICS configuration seems to be corrent, but the XP computer cannot get access to the W7 DNS servers on the dialup connections, and so websites addresses are not getting resolved.
I didn't have this problem while ICS'ing from my PC while I was still using XP.
To solve it, I just manually added the ISP's DNS servers to the XP PC LAN NIC settings.
Any idea why I had to manually added? or someway to avoid it?

    The other issue:
While ICS is working the LAN adapter receives the 192.168.137.1 address, but no default gateway, hence network location is forced by Windows to be catagorzied as "unidentfied" and public.
If I add some gateway it just removes it.
What can I do to make this network type something else than identified.

    Thanks
      My Computer
