Difficulty Connecting Windows XP to Windows 7 Laptops through HUB

I apologize if this has already been answered, but I am having some connectivity difficulties. Through work, we often have to connect 3 or 4 laptops together, through a networking hub, in order to all work off of the same computer. Recently, we have been having difficulty connecting to the individual who is still running Windows XP. Everyone else has Windows 7 Professional 32 bit installed. The issue is that the XP user cannot see the other machines in the Networking area. Is there a way to remedy this situation? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Welcome to Seven Forums,

Just to confirm...... your network is setup using a Hub and not a network switch?

Is your network setup as a Workgroup or Domain? Is the current network setup working before? What has been changed?

It is actually a switch, not a hub. I am sorry for the error. I am not 100% sure whether it is a Workgroup or Domain. The setup has been working, but not with the XP computer. Two Windows 7 computers have been able to connect without issue. Nothing to my knowledge has been changed.

    Thank you for your help.

Obviously you would require the Workgroup names to be the same on the XP and Windows 7 machines.

It also can help to run the XP's network set up wizard which is a requirement when setting up a network with XP.
