    Troubleshooting Issue With Network

While connecting to the internet through dial up USB modem connection,Troubleshoot symbol is appearing in network icon in taskbar.
I had deleted and created new connection but of no use.
Updated network and modem drivers but dosent solve the issue.
Is the problem System or Modem related,I dont know exactly what the problem is!
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Have you tried the Windows Troubleshooter?

To start the trouble shooter, type troubleshooter into the Start Menu search box, or start it from the Control Panel.

Is this actually causing any problems (i.e. unable to connect to the Internet)?

Until early last year, I used to get a warning sign on my Network icon whenever I ran VMware Workstation.
The screen tip would state that there was no Internet connection, even though the Internet worked normally.

I'm not familiar with dial-up, so I don't know if the standard troubleshooting techniques apply.

    Can you ping:

    1. 127.0.0.1 or localhost
    2. Your machine's IP
    3. Your modem's IP
    4. Your ISP or Google.com, etc.
