    Name resolution (DNS) problem

for some reason, Internet host names stopped working on my machine. Please see this log :

    c:\>nslookup ya.ru
    Server: ns1.fryazino.net
    Address: 192.168.2.20

    Non-authoritative answer:
    Name: ya.ru
    Addresses: 2a02:6b8::3
    213.180.193.3
    213.180.204.3
    93.158.134.3

    c:\>ping 213.180.193.3 -n 1
Pinging 213.180.193.3 with 32 bytes of data:
    Reply from 213.180.193.3: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=57

    c:\>ping ya.ru -n 1
Ping request could not find host ya.ru. Please check the name and try again.

As You see, nslookup requests can get IP addresses for the site, I can ping the IP, but cannot ping the host by its name. Of course, other programs using site names (browser, mail, etc) also cannot work. I guess that the problem is somewhere deep inside the system, but I didn't plan to reinstall it until now. So I just hope that some of You know what to do with it without setting up the system and all the programs...

    Welcome to Sevenforums,

Have you tried to flush the DNS Cache.

DNS Resolver Cache - Flush and Reset in Windows

Start => Search for Cmd.exe => Run it as Admin

Once the Windows Command Prompt is open type: ipconfig /flushdns

    Exit.
