    HP wireless random disconnects/reconnects

Hi everyone, this is my first time here so please bare with me. I have filled in my system specs as best I could. At this point I don't know if I have one problem or two. First, the laptop will randomly begin reconnecting to my wireless network ( I am the only one on it and none close by). It will do this very rapidly, then freeze with a blank screen. I hit the enter key and the site pops up right away and the computer settles down until the next time.

In addition, randomly when I pick any shortcut on my desktop, all the icons begin to blink rapidly and do not begin to search for its address. As soon as I hit the enter key, then blinking stops, which ever shortcut I choose works until the rapid connect/reconnect starts again.

I have updated the drivers for my network adapter and my router. I've done malware scans, registery scans including windows registery, virus scans, memory checks, bios checks and updates, uninstalled/reinstalled my router drivers, reset the router, did a hard computer reboot. Nothing helps. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Hi and Welcome to Seven Forums!

You did well on filling out your computer specs as I see that you have a Norton security installed. Have you also tried uninstalling Norton by using the Removal Tool, make sure that you follow the directions if you wish to re-install Norton later on when your issue has been resolved.

    An update will be nice.
