    Plex Media Server port forwarding issue


    Hi everyone

    dont really know staff which section this would go into, so I'm sorry if I posted in the wrong place.


    I am having so much problems trying to connect the Plex Media Server to my PC for my remote access.

    I've tried opening up a ports through my router and still no avail. I even tried disabling my firewall temporary and still nothing.







    Any ideas what I should try?

    I tried Plex and had nothing but problems.

    I went to Mezzmo - Mezzmo - The ultimate DLNA media server for streaming movies, music and photos to your UPnP and DLNA devices

    It is easy to use and all your hdds are listed and you can stream to your device.

    I use it for streaming to my PS3 and it is a breeze.

    They have a trial (fully functional) and the cost to buy is very reasonable.

    An added bonus is if you record from WMC - it recognizes WMV and plays them flawlessly - no need top convert.
