You don't open them, you just point it to that file,

Looks pretty straight forward, here's a link to your manual too,

Page 30 is what that snip is from.

I must be really inept but i cannot pull up that first screenshot your showing , if it wouldn't be too much trouble can you provide the link to that first screen .

When i go to the Asus support site it says the RT N 10 could not be found , sorry.

That link I posted above is the manual I got that screenshot from, it's on page 30.

Here's a link to Asus,

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download RT-N10

Technically you really don't need to go there if you already have the firmware downloaded. (How did you find that if you can't find your router?)

There's only a few steps involved, you need to bring up the router webpage on your computer though.

When I download the firmware after extracting the zip file the file turns into a TRX file and I can't download it .

It says you need Microsoft visual studio to open it.

I managed to find updated firmware from Asus but i can't get it to update for my RTN 10 router , my question is there is a site that has something called wwrd or something along those lines and it supports my router .

Should i try to update firmware with this ?

Thank you

That is pretty vague, I'm not answering that.

Here's a question for you, Why do you think you need to update your firmware when everything seems to be pointing to you not being able to?

Your earlier post mentioned opening the TRX file even after I pointed out that you don't need to open it, the process in updating will ask you for the TRX file AS IS

Then you say it doesn't even offer a firmware for your OS, so do you really NEED to update your firmware?
