    No connection to wireless internet

One of our laptops, using Windows 7 Home Premium, has suddenly begun to deny that there is any wireless internet connection available. All other computers, tablets etc. connect properly (BT Infinity). It works properly now we're using an Ethernet cable, but as soon as that is removed, no wireless connection is possible. Help please - in layman's terms! Thanks.

One problem solved - didn't realise laptops have physical wireless switches. It had been turned off by accident. However, although wireless connection has been restored, and Windows Mail and Skype work, I cannot open web pages. 'This page cannot be displayed' is the message. I see this is a common problem, but there doesn't seem to be any simple solution. Is help available to get back on the web, please?

To better assist you can you please follow this tutorial - Basic Requirements Before Posting your Networking Thread. This can help us identify what may be causing your issue.

Chances are you are not receiving a valid IP address configuration. Particularly if your skype doesn't work.

Thanks for your reply. Skype was working, by the way. I looked at the link, but things got worse - Internet and Skype became unavailable even with the Ethernet cable. Only mail worked. Finished up taking the laptop to a specialist. Problems now solved. Various malware etc were removed. Also Norton had been corrupted.
