    Best VPN for Windows?

I'm using Windows 7 on a laptop for work. What is the best VPN for this?

    Hi,

If you would like to connect to work over the VPN you are best asking your IT department, they will be better suited to advise:

    1. If your account allows you to connect via the VPN
    2. The connection method required to do this task

Point 2 is very important as you may just use your windows credentials to connect or you may have something called 2 factor authentication which means you will have something like a soft token that you will need to enter too but this will need configuring.

I am the IT department. I replaced an entire development team and I've never done VPN before. My boss uses a crappy VPN setup through one of our managed cloud servers but it only works in a browser (I need a GUI client for Windows 7 that I can configure and activate to make sure all internet traffic from the network card, WiFi or ethernet, is sent through the VPN, not just the browser). This is to be able to use our laptops on public networks or in other countries that might block our traffic (like China).

Preferably we need a good VPN host that is trustworthy that isn't too expensive, but I'm not sure which Windows 7 client to use regardless. Is the built-in Windows 7 client good enough or are there problems there?

I see, this isn't something i can help with but if you stick around there may be someone that can.
I only ever connect to a VPN, never actually set one up.

    Hope you get the answer.
