Wifi will not connect to router after restart.
Heres the problem. The wifi card in my computer will not connect to the router after it has restarted. It will connect after about 2-4 hours for no apparent reason. It seems to only do this with my router but I am unsure as the routers around me are password protected, and I cannot connect to them anyway.
After attempting to connect to the router after the first time it displays a red x. I have tried disabling the wifi card and lan card and re enabling it, I have rolled back the drivers and installed the latest new ones. I have looked into power settings and powersaving is disabled. I have done manual changes to the ipv4 to manually connect to the wifi router with no luck.
Ive tried manually creating the connection to the wifi router with the correct passphrase and encryption which is WPA2.
The computer does eventually connect, but I do not understand why it takes so long to figure out how to connect. I do not have access to the router as it would seem that could be the culprit. I would like to rule that out as other devices connect to the router with no problem at all.
Any ideas on what could cause this would be well appreciated. I am on Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit on an HP all in one (i can get the model number)
