Wireless network adapter is turned on, but PC say`s it is not

Hello! I got a problem that really driving me crazy!!!!!
I can't establish any wi-fi connections, despite fact that I`am in wi-fi area. Problem appear about 6 month ago, without a reason (I do not changed hardware or any other crucial software). I have Asus N53SM notebook, which have option to manually switch on/off wireless adapter. So, if it is manually turned off there is a picture of wi-fi antenna with red cross on it, but if it is turned on, but there are no available connections it shows icon of signal strength with red cross on it. So, no matter what I do and how many wi-fi connections are there, icon shows that wi-fi adapter is not turned on at all (picture of wi-fi antenna with red cross on it)!!!!!
My PC recently returned from repair service, which said that problem is in my OS and used drivers, despite fact that I tried several versions of Windows 7 (and even Windows 8), no matter which OS I use problem stays. Every time when I tried to reinstall Windows I used original driver CD which came with PC, so drivers work well, because earlier, more than a year it worked without any problem.
After all drivers are set, in device manager section "other devices" --> "Network controller" there is "!" which says that, not all drivers were installed successfully. I dunno how could it happen, if driver CD is original. It is quite possible that Windows Update could get needed updates, but I do not have access to the wi-fi and Internet. And why components which previously worked well, now refuse to install correctly
P.s. driver CD is clean and without a scratches

Well; at this point what i would do is go into the device manager section of the system section of the control panel and remove any wireless adapters listed in the system section. Then reboot and let windows hopefully re-detect and reinstall the adapter(s). Also, one other thing to try is to power cycle your network equipment. Unplug the power cords to both the router and modem; wait about a minute or so; then plug the modem back in first and let that fully boot; then plug the router back in and let that fully boot. Try both of these things and see what happens. If neither of these solve your issue; post back and we can take it from there.

matts6887 thank you for suggestion!
First of all, there is no need to replug router, because it work well. All other home devices that are connected to the router works fine, without any problem at all, but my PC refuse to find ANY wi-fi connections in area, no matter how many are there, showing notification that ethernet adapter is turned off, despite fact that it is manually turned on. I do not understand why??? Is it possible that wireless antenna is dislocated, and i have to open my PC, find wireless adapter hardware and put it back in slot?
Second: what exactly I should do? Uninstall or disable all components that are listed under section "Network adapters", and how do I reinstall those components after restart of PC, if cannot make my wireless adapter functional???

So, basically after Windows and all included drivers are reinstalled, my problem becomes constant which looks like this:

I have no idea why this is happening, especially knowing fact that I reinstalled Windows previously, but all worked well without any complications, but now - problem with missing driver in section "Network Controller" and "turned off" Network adapter is permanent
