Diagnose internet disconnects with broadcom 802.11g network adapter ?
Hello,
I have experienced conditions where the internet completely disconnects, and the wireless network is no longer shown on the list to connect to, all wireless networks "disappear" from the list. I have tried many actions to try to fix the problem, reseting the network adapter, enabling and disabling it also, and following the windows troubleshooting guide. This continues to occur a few times per day on average. The only way I can see a wireless network is to restart the entire computer which takes 5 minutes. Everytime I restart the whole computer the wireless networks are shown again on the list to connect to! I don't think there's a problem with the internet service because this happens every time, but it appears that there is.
I would like to know additional actions I can take to be able to re-connect to the wireless network when it is shown to have disconnected and disappeared from the list and not able to connect to without having to restart the entire computer every time. Is there some services I can restart, or other settings I can change to be able to see and reconnect to the wireless networks again?
thanks!
steve
