realtek pcie gbe family controller - network connectivity problems

Windows 7 x64 with sabertooth 990fx with built in network in motherboard being realtek pci gbe family controller. Computer shows as connected to internet. Chrome or internet explorer says unable to connect, or unable to display. trouble shoot says unable to detect any problems. Tried re-install drivers. Since this computer belongs to a curious 11 year old boy, checked realtek settings to my computer. Still not work. There was settings different. tried device manager uninstall and re-install. not fix. in network and sharing, under connections, did disable and enable.

When i did cmd ping, i get 4 packets sent and 4 received. So internet seems to be working.

How fix this problem? Do I need reset to factory the network, if so, how? Or is there a problem with motherboard? or is it something in windows 7. Please help.

The first thing I do with such problems is open Control Pane, Internet Options then click the Connections tab followed by LAN settings. Usually, unless specified by an ISP, only the first choice about Automatically detect should be checked, none of the others.
