Windows 7: No Internet Access and Bonjour service

Windows 7

I wish it was that easy. I'm rather confused........

In an elevated cmd window type the following command and hit OK.
“%PROGRAMFILES%\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe” -remove

In the same cmd, type the following command and hit OK.
regsvr32 /u “%PROGRAMFILES%\Bonjour\mdnsNSP.dll”

This is also Adobe CS3 Extended - which from my research hasn't been able to be loaded in Win 7 . Am I missing something??????? Man this is the pits. I'm currently doing my processing on another computer running XP or another running Vista. Adobe customer support is zero help.

Win7 Ultimate, x64

Win 7 and CS3 Extended - no issues here.

To make life easier:
  • Open an elevated command prompt
  • cd to c:\program files\bonjour - substitute your boot drive for "C:\". Substitute "program files(x86)" if you are running Win x64.
  • execute the command "mDNSResponder.exe -remove"
  • No execute "regsvr32 /u mdnsNSP.dll”
  • Close the cmd window (type exit and <return>)
  • Restart your computer
  • If you like, you can delete the bonjour folder

I got a PM indicating the above was over his head so ....
  1. Open an Elevated Command Prompt window. See here for a quick tutorial --> Elevated Command Prompt
  2. Click in the new Command Prompt window
  3. If your boot drive is "C", type "C:". If not, type the letter of your boot drive followed by a colon and press the <Return> (or <Enter>) key
  4. If you are running Win7 X86, type "CD \Program Files\Bonjour" (without the quotes) and press return/enter. If you are running Win7 x64, type "CD \Program Files(x86)\Bonjour" and press return/enter.
  5. Now, type "mDNSResponder.exe -remove" and press return/enter
  6. After that command finishes (should take just seconds), type "regsvr32 /u mdnsNSP.dll” and press return/enter
  7. Type "exit" and press return/enter. This will close the Command Prompt window.
  8. Restart your computer
  9. If you like, you can open Windows Explorer and delete the Bonjour folder, but it's not doing any harm just sitting there either.

I need to uninstall Bonjour Service but the instructions on this and other sites are outdated. How do I do it? All the instructions I can find are from 2009, or contain broken links to remover tools, or refer to Microsoft Fix-It Tool, which no longer exists (now it's just another useless crap...
