    Network adapter disappears after reboot

I just recently bought a gaming laptop to replace my custom tower since my job requires a bit more portability. I just installed the important windows updates and now my network adapter disappears after I restart my computer. there are a few seconds when my desktop appears where I can quickly hit the troubleshoot option and reset my wireless adapter that way, but after that, it shows that there are none available and instructs me to plug in an Ethernet cable. So far I've tried, power management options for the wireless adapter, installing recent driver updates, and enabling the adapter from the bios.

When I am able to troubleshoot the problem it simply tells me that "the wireless capability is turned off" and it resets my adapter. After that however, the option to reset the adapter disappears. There is no external switch on this computer to enable or disable the wireless adapter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you used "Check for Updates" in Control-panel, Windows Update at least three times?

Also check with the laptop manufacturer's site that you have the latest drivers for **everything.**
