Offline files between XP Pro and Windows 7

I currently have 2 XP Pro systems (laptop and desktop). Offline shares are working fine; the laptop has the offline files. I created an s:\ (for share) drive on my local LAN using my desktop system and all the files reside there.

My laptop needs to be upgraded. I want to go to Windows 7. Will I be able to easily transition offline files with this setup from 2 XP Pro systems to a Windows 7 (Professional or Ultimate) on a laptop and my current XP Pro Desktop?

NOTE: The operative word here is "easily".

A probable easier way?

well,I don't know how much "easier" you mean, but I suggest you try this link for transfer of files only between windows 7 and windows XP computers:
Mix IT!: Easily sharing Files and Folders between a Windows 7 and Windows XP computer

setup your computers its mentioned there and you should be able to transfer files between them.Let me know if you are still unable to share files.
