Ok, so first here comes the apology because of a subject which is similar to many others but I can't quite find the one that directly relates to my issue.

I have a laptop, desktop and X-box (for my lad) which all connected without issue to an internet connection through my Belkin N1 Wireless Router as my Desktop as the main PC.

My Desktop ran Windows Vista Business, my laptop runs Windows XP Pro and the X-box is, well.. an X-Box. The laptop and x-box both connected via wireless connection.

It took me a long time to figure out how to get everything connected and was really happy once I figured it out so you can imagine the frustration today when I decided to upgrade my desktop from Vista Business to Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit).

My desktop connects fine to the internet, but now I can no longer connect my laptop or x-box live to the internet - It took me long enough to figure out how to do this before (so much so I cant remember how I did it) so now I feel I am right back at square one as W7 must have changed something to my network and connections!

I have no idea what has changed or what I can do to resolve this and get my connections all working again.

I would appreciate any help on this and happy to provide more info if required.

Ta muchly :)

Welcome, NickyB!

This sounds like a simple problem - the Windows 7 computer is no longer part of your workgroup. If you look at your laptop, you can find out the workgroup by right clicking on the My Computer icon, selecting properties, then selecting computer name, then clicking on the Change... button. Now, check your workgroup in Windows 7:

Join or create a workgroup

You may also have to check your Windows 7 network settings and make sure you are part of the Home network. Go to the Network and Sharing Center - your default network will either have Home, Work, or Public next to it.
