Be sure to do repairs: 1, 3, 6, 7, 10, 17, 26. Reboot afterwards and test. Post results

I used the repair tool application and did as you said. After it finished I restarted and everything was working again! I just checked RegEdit, and what you did mention is not missing, it's there.
