Browsers requiring a single refresh every time a page is loaded

Everytime I try to load a page it fails to connect until I hit refresh and then it's ok. What I know:
  • Not the browser, tried Chrome, Firefox, Torch (And IE just for shits and giggles) but no dice with any one of them.
  • Not the modem, other systems on this network work fine.
  • Not the hardware. Prior to a format on this PC everything was O.K. and then it wasn't, I ain't an onion in terms of computer hardware and I'm quite positive nothing went wrong there.
  • It could be the OS, hopefully not, but this issue cropped up ever since I formatted in the hopes of cleaning up the system a bit from crap. I moved to Windows 8.1 now.
  • It could be the driver. I tried downloading new ones for my mobo - Asus Sabertooth x58 but they don't seem to work, I did use a generic one however so maybe that's the issue.
  • It could be the settings somehow - Trying ipconfig /flushdns - works, but ipconfig /renew doesn't.

CMD Error on ipconfig /renew: The operation failed as no adapter is in the state permissible for this operation.

Ethernet adapter Ethernet should be the connection I'm using. I have set this connection as manual in the hopes of eliminated the DHCP but no luck solving it.

I have no clue what Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface is about, I'm assuming it's something new to Win8.1 Pro or w/e

ipconfig /all results:

are u able to disable ipv6 and try again ? looks like you are running both protocols, maybe this is where your problem is ? Just a guess, not 100% if this would work, but give it a shot I would say.

Hey unsecur3d, thanks for your reply. Could you help me out here? How do I disable this? I don't seem to have anything I can do from the Network Sharing center since there's no disable button, only an uninstall option. I am quite used to having ipv4 active and v6 inactive so you just might be onto something.

this small application from Microsoft will do the work for you, just run this: http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9728869

that will disable it, then reboot your pc and try again, see if that works

Just in case it doesn't, here is another small application from Microsoft as well that will simply re-enable ipv6 in your computer: http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9732129

Thanks for the suggestion unsecur3d, I gave it a shot however I believe the issue still seems to be happening. I would like to think it's not happening as often, but I feel that's just wishfull thinking too. So that pretty much means settings are not at fault...

ipconfing /renew still doesn't work however, gives me the same error - I am wondering if the drivers might be the problem. I tried looking for the right ones but had little luck, maybe you guys can help me out.

I have an Asus Sabertooth x58 motherboard with what comes on it. Do you know if there are optimal drivers for these which are windows 8 compatible?

To add to this, I just might roll back to Windows 7. Win 8.1 doesn't seem to bring anything new to the mix and only gave me problems since I applied it.

I'll try and let you know how it goes post format, for the sake of whoever reads this in the future.

Having reverted back to Win7, I do have the ipv6 installed once again however doesn't appear I'm experiencing the same problems anymore. Might be too soon to tell, but currently everything's worked out smoothly.

Problem Solved hopefully

how to view single page
Hi all, I'm running Microsoft Office XP on win7 64bit and can't seem to find a way to view only one page in a Word document. If I download or write more than one page they come up in two page side by side format on the screen. Is there a way to set one page at a time viewing as default?
