I have this issue too!! Please help.

I have this issue too. I installed Windows 7 64bit on my PC, and since then I cannot connet to the internet. I have seen various threads detailing how different routers and wireless adapters are not working or recognised but my issue is different.

My computer IS connected to my Router wirelessly.

Windows 7 IS quite happy to connect to the update server and download all manner of updates from Microsoft, as with the above thread.

However it will not allow either IE or Firefox to connect to the internet. I have tried the above ideas, such as Bonjour, Itunes and nothing changes.

The Wireless Adapter is clearly working, (Hence how Windows Update quite happily updates itself) but I cannot access the internet.

Windows does state I have a problem, but when I hit the troubleshoot button, it says it cannot detect the problem!!

    Please help!!

Well did you upgrade or install a clean version?

I think its one of the programs that is causing it. Didnt you install anything?
Compare to my program list (posted in this thread) and see if anything shows up in both.

I built my pc 4 weeks ago with an clean install of Vista 64bit. I have now Upgraded to the 64bit Windows 7 yesterday and have since not been able to connect to the internet. Ill compare and see if anything matches.

Just compared and nothing appears similar other than standard windows programs. One interesting thing is that not only does Windows Update connect happily with Microsoft, but my CNN News Ticker does too. Nothing else does however. I have disabled all Firewalls and security options on both my pc and Router. Even tried having no wirless security selected, but still to no avail.

    GOD DAMN APPLE!

Archmisha, I have just managed to connect to the internet!! Solved finally! I looked through my processes in Task Manager and found that a 3 programs by Apple were running! None were visible in my programs running page. I stop the processes and uninstalled their hidden file trees, and instantly I could connect the internet.

I will post the name of any programmes I think I can see on your picture that were similar to mine.

I had a quick look and couldnt see anything in your pictures that could be causing your issues I'm afraid.

We both clearly had an issue where by our PC's were connected to the internet, just not allowing our browsers to see it. Therefore I suggest if you cant see any Apple software running or causing issues, maybe the best bet would be to uninstall othe bits of software one by one.

I hope you find a solution.
Ill keep a look out to see if I can help further.
