    Wireless Connection Drop (FIX)

this also works for PCI-e Cards aswell

now i'm not sure if this is a permanant fix but i've had my computer on for 4 days and my connection hasn't dropped once

first of all goto device manger > Network adapters > then right click your adapter and click properties.

after that goto power management and untick the box that says (allow this computer to turn off this device to save power)

    should be like this

after that right click on your desktop and click personalize when that box appears click the screen saver option at the bottom of the screen on the right

when the new box appears click the change power settings options at the bottom (this screen is diffrent on laptops)

now when your on this screen click on change power plan next to the balanced option, after you have done that click change advanced power settings at the bottom of that screen

now change your settings so they look like this

    hope this helps peeps

and like i said my internet connection hasn't dropped for 4 days now

Often the cause for losing access is the network sees (or rather, it stops seeing) the device and returns the assigned IP back to the available pool of IPs. Using a static IP assignment (rather than DHCP) may be a better option, especially with wireless and notebooks where power (battery) conservation is more important.
