Wireless ad-hoc + ICS = pain in my xxx

Set-up as in the attachment; desktop running win7x64 and laptop win7x32, laptop is asus X71SL and and as desktops wireless adapter i use Buffalo Technology - Products - Nfiniti™ Wireless-N Ultra Compact USB 2.0 Adapter WLI-UC-GN

1. The desktop's connections to the outside world work just fine

2. According to status page of wireless adapter on desktop; the connection is shared succesfully, and in the status page of the wireless adapter says it IS connected to the internet) giving the desktop wireless adapter 192.168.137.1(issued automaticly) address; adhoc shows up as unidentified network on desktop

3. Laptop joins the ad-hoc network succesfully; laptop gets 192.168.137.221(issued automaticly); the network appears with its correct name; sees the shared network files but cannot access internet; no internet connectivity; network diagnostics on laptop says "problem with wireless adapter or access point", however, it does join other networks all-right and get internet access, and my portable media player can access internet through my desktops wireless adapter, so theyre both working actually, but not just with eachother for reasons unkown

4. they were both working fine just this morning, after reboot of both they didnt anymore

5. disabling adapters, rebooting modem and re-enabling everything does not fix the problem
