WiFi Limited access since latest Windows update

Hi, first post but very much need help. I saw similar threads to what my problem is but not exactly the same.

Basically I got a new wireless adapter last weekend. It was working fine, but then an automatic windows update occurred and I could not connect to the Internet anymore. It just says "limited access". I system restored to before the update and it went back to working fine. But now I can't restore to that previous point anymore so Internet is completely gone. I've not been able to get a cable to connect yet but I'm fairly sure that will work. However I would obviously prefer wireless to work.

I'm positive it has to do with this update but have no idea what and how to solve it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
