Share folder once, unshare it, now it has a lock icon?

    Share folder once, unshare it, now it has a lock icon?


    So, I share a folder once. By adding "everyone" to the list of "people to share with." Then, I unshare it. All of a sudden it has a "lock icon" on it that I can't get rid of.

    Why?

    AFAIK, the lock icon is just Windows's way of saying "this file isn't shared with anyone".

    But why don't all my other folder have the icon then? I hate how folders I've shared and unshared now stick out like a sore thumb.

I have a folder on my desktop which I have shared with another PC through a wired router setup. I now want to stop sharing it. I navigated to it in Explorer, highlighted it, then clicked Share With and chose Nobody. The folder however still is shared. I also logged off and rebooted with no change....
What is that lock icon on my folder and how do I remove it or unlock it ?

Somehow, one of the document folders in MY DOCUMENTS wound up with a lock on it. What does this mean and how do I return it to normal?
