My printer sharing keeps saying the printer is offline. Help!

I have a laptop and a desktop. I've shared a single wireless printer for years. Suddenly, I keep getting an error message whenever I try to print with the laptop. It says: "sorry the printer is offline". No, it isn't because I can print from the desktop, wirelessly.

I have tried everything I know and can't figure it out. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Both run Win 7 Home Premium.

What a great tip! Thanks so much.

Actually, I searched around the internet and found up to date drivers, which I downloaded, and installed. Then I deleted the printer from the laptop and re-installed it. All is well!

Printer offline
I just migrated to Win 7(64) this weekend, fairly smooth. However, I have noticed that the Brother 5250DN printer is offline all the time; wireless. If I go to SERVICES and turn off Print Spooler for a few seconds it works when I put the spooler back on. Any ideas? Thanks.
