Local Area Connection - No Connections Available

    Windows 7 64bit Professional:

Recently cloned another machine and imaged this one and it was working fine. Did a few windows updates and was working fine. Now on reboot "No Connections Available". This is in a school comp. lab and this happened to 1 other machine (wasn't able to fix).

    I've done the following:
-Disabled & re-enabled Local Area Connection
    -Rebooted
    -Unplugged ethernet cable
    -uninstalled & reinstalled driver...
    -flushed DNS
    -reset tcp/ip settings
    -checked services

    Need help ASAP please.

    Also,
I've tried manually setting up Ipv4 and the Default Gateway is missing/erases itself each time I try to go back and look.
