Today being January 15th 2015, Infinity been installed now 17 days, have had several (not heated conversations with BT) to no avail, until approx an hour ago, when I had to do a reset whilst they done something their end, I am now running at warp speed (not really, but a lot lot better) I have to run this for 2 days, then on Saturday between 10-10.30 they are going to ring me, to confirm that I am happy, fingers crossed I am still happy Saturday. If that is the case I will mark it as solved.
