How to get rid of event id 4001 from WLAN-AutoConfig ?

Hello, my logs are plagued with warnings from WLAN-AutoConfig (id 4001) that says "WLAN AutoConfig service has successfully stopped."

As this dosn't constitute a warning and work as intended to have the WLAN service shutdown when I don't need it, how can i make this service stop jamming my logs with that ?

Best regards

Hi Magissia,

Thats a service that is used to detect and connect to wireless networks. If you do not have Wireless you can disable this service. See the link below.

Disable Windows 7 Wireless Configuration Manager Service (WLAN AutoConfig)

Event 4001 is not really an error and can be simply ignored and I do not know of a way to stop the event from showing up other than stopping the service if you don't in fact need it.

'Windows could not start the WLAN autoconfig service on Local Computer
OK let's see what's up. Yesterday I woke up and suddenly my wifi wasn't showing any networks and my wifi manager kept crashing. I have a Samsung RV511 and for the year or so that I've had it there has never been this problem. Following instructions I found online I've done just about everything...

WLAN AutoConfig switches off and on after boot.
Hi, I have a rather strange problem. PC boots normally, though somehow slowly you can really hear the HD is working hard! Wireless is connected as it should, as one of the last tasks in the entire start up process. Good signal with 4-5 pins in the internet access icon down in the right...

WLAN Autoconfig Service won't start automatically
I wiped the stupid Windows 7 Starter that came with my netbook and installed Windows 7 Professional and ever since the WLAN Autoconfig Service refuses to start on boot despite it being set to Automatic. It also won't start manually either through "services.msc" or "net start". The only way I can...
