The default gateway is not available WNDA4100 error

So about two weeks ago I bought a new adapter, a Netgear WNDA4100. The Internet had been working great up until this Afternoon, at which point I began receiving the little yellow error exclamation point over my connection while not being disconnected from the Internet. Ran a troubleshoot and got a "the default gateway is not available" which Windows was able to fix. Internet came back up, I breathed a sigh of relief and went about my business -- only for the issue to repeat itself a few minutes later. Again and again this happened, so I went about the usual troubleshooting; rolled back the driver, reinstalled the newest version of the driver for Windows 7, System Restore, manually set the Gateway IP and so on, ipconfig /release and /renew, etc. Problem continued to pop it's ugly head. I will note that over the passed few days Windows has been running a LOT of updates; no idea if I had turned off automatic updates and accidentally bumped it back on or what. So I'm basically begging for help here. I went two weeks without Internet access when my old adapter bugged out, and now it seems I'm doomed to repeat it. I will admit the new adapter I bought was a refurbished one; but it had worked great up until now. Here is the result of IPconfig.

C:\Windows\system32>ipconfig /renew

Hi mate.

Did you think of updating firmware on your new router?

Could you please run ipconfig /all
I want to see what DNS servers are you getting.

Also, would be nice to call your ISP and tell them that you have changed the router.
Maybe they will update their components with new router info.
