Running an application that reside on another PC

Hello

I got a software installed on another PC in my house. The software bylaw stipulate that it could be installed on just one PC. I would like to be able to use it from another room

Can I run the software remotely using my own PC as a terminal?

Both PC wired to the same router

Martin

It appears you are attempting to evade the license restrictions of the software in question (restrictions you agreed to when you installed it). I will not help with this.

You can use Remote Desktop software that will allow you to run the software on the computer it's installed on from another computer. I do it all day, every day. There are no laws being broken.

However, your wife won't be able to use the computer while you are remotely connected to it.

First question. What OS is the PC in the basement running? It needs to be running something like Win 7 Pro for built-in MS Remote Desktop software to work. If running something like Win 7 Home then you will need 3rd party software like TeamViewer.

Both pc running win 7
Basement: win 7 home if I recall
Office: win 7 pro

No problem for interfering with my wife. She is using an Ipad now.
We rarelly use the basement pc.

I will look for Teamviewer unless you have another idea.

Is there any software that would allow to run the application from her Ipad?

Don't know what software it is, but most of them will allow you to uninstall and reinstall on a different machine. Computers don't last forever, after all.

That was a decision from the software developer. Can't re-install since I need a special password from them. Since the place seem to be out of business, I need to find a way to use it.

The software is a specialize tool to develop brain cognitive force.

Did install Teamviwer

I'm able to use the application, but mouse double clicking is erratic ( intermitant). Sometime the double click do enable the action, sometime not

Is there another software that I could use or a tweak to be done on TeamViewer?

Any help appreciated

Is the software specialized for you or just that it's the only thing it does? What is the name of the program? Maybe some of the things Google Search found will work?

Actually, TeamViewer has a client that will run on the iPad or even an iPhone so yes, you would be able to access the application from her iPad.

Not sure why you're having problems with TeamViewer as it has worked fine for me in the past.

Here's a whole list of software you can try but TeamViewer is generally considered the best.
