A virus does not self-replicate. What you are thinking of is a worm and yes, you can get infected.

I'm thinking about malware in general when I say "a virus". So malware can pass from a remote PC to the local PC through RDP without even executing it?

Someone please answer my other questions too, thank you.

    1. So, basically, the only way to get infected using RDC is if I manually copy an infected file over to my PC and execute it? There's no other way?

    2. I've read the link you provided but am not really sure what to do to fix the problem. What did you do, the registry thing?

    3. I'll go read that. I would like to wake a computer over the internet. I looked at the Nirsoft WakeMeOnLan but I think it's not suitable for WOL over the internet, sadly.

    Thank you for your help!
    Anyone, pretty please? :)
