How do I make my network controller work to use my wifi?

    Hello,
I am having a problem getting my Network Controller working after installing Windows 7 32 bit over the top of a preinstalled Windows 7 64 bit system.

I installed the 32 bit version with my product key as I hadn't made a copy of the original when it first came, and I was having download problems I couldn't resolve.

These are my Hardware ids, if that helps.

    PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002B&SUBSYS_666111AD&REV_01
    PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002B&SUBSYS_666111AD
    PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002B&CC_028000
    PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002B&CC_0280

Now however I cannot resolve the driver problem with my Network Controller. I have read other threads on here and tried many of the suggested drivers, one of which installs but doesn't work (Atheros).

I can only connect to the internet via my ethernet cable. The wifi acts as if it doesn't exist.

If you need any further information, please let me know. Thank you. :)

    Bob.

    Hi vivawindows95, welcome to SevenForums.
You need to install the 32 bit Chipset Driver of your machine.

    Hi ShoTTaS,

Thank you for your help so far. Can you however help me to update the chipset driver.
I went on this website: https://www.asus.com/support/Downloa...Qm5y2qHcHK/29/
to update the chipset driver but I am not able to extract and apply it, it keeps saying failed.

    Thank you.
