Nov 3 updates installed - lost printer

Printer on Win 7 was shared fine to some XP machines.
Installed Important and Recommended updates to Win 7. Printer disappeared from network. Files still show. Within Win 7 printer says it is shared. None of the XP machines can see it - can't browse and see it, can't see it if you feed the \\computer_name\printer_name manually.

Any thoughts short of seeing if I can roll back?

What were the updates that you installed? Have you checked the firewall settings and also checked to make sure the printer was still shared?

    Thanks fo rthe post -

I forget the update numbers - the ones that were pushed this week
The printer showed it was shared and no firewalls were on in the internal network.
However, I rolled back the update - re-downloaded and re-installed. After initial re-boot still no joy. Gave up, turned off machine.
This morning the printer popped up all over the network.
Oh well, Windows is too frequently like that.
