Windows 7 Giving IP Address Problems

Hi,
I am using a Acer laptop with
Windows 7 and recently a weird issue has cropped up. My computer's IP address
has given me a problematic internet connection. While using the "command
prompt" from "Run" option of the start menu, it says that the IP address is
invalid.

As far as my knowledge goes, a computer's IP Address can be found out
with this option. Can somebody give me an effective solution?

What are you trying to do ?

Just type ipconfig renew, then hit enter

wanna know the ip address ?

just enter ipconfig, hit enter.

Still having problems ?

Right click the network icon in the taskbar and run the troubleshooter.
