Puzzling Server Not Found Firefox vs Chrome

I experience on a regular basis the "server not found" message when using Firefox. However if I exit Firefox and start Chrome I have success navigating to the same web site. I just wondered if anyone knows why?

Sounds to me like something may have corrupted the connection to the internet for firefox. I would try downloading and installing a fresh copy of firefox and see if that resolves the issue.
