    MY internet connection randomly ceases


    Despite my wireless adapter still being lit up, my connection to the internet randomly stops after a period of time and only a reboot can bring it back.After a random period of time, internet access to my computer ceases and only a reboot can bring it back; it states "limited access" and I have no connection. All my drivers are fully updated and I have already tried flushing DNS. If I try to restart or shut down using the start menu when this happens, a BSOD occurs stating driver power state failure. When I used driver verifier, it says A device driver attempting to corrupt the system has been caught and creates a BSOD. After the internet cuts off, I can no longer access network and sharing center (attempting causes explorer.exe to stop working). Bluescreen view states that ntoskrnl.exe are the cause of the power state failures. No problem arises when I use safe mode with networking. My computer specs are:
    OS:Windows 7 Home Premium
    AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 255 Processor 3.10 Ghz
    Ram:4 GB
    System Type:64-BIt Operating System
    Graphics Driver:Nvidia Geforce 210
    Audio:Nvidia High definition Audio

    My Wireless Adapter:Belkin F5D8053 N Wireless USB Adapter #9.

    I have no spare wireless adapters. I have not tried and cannot easily try a direct hookup from my router to my PC. I have already tried moving my adapter to a different port.
    This problem has been occurring for months and I have no restore point. Edit: Bluescreen view states 053015-19047-01.dmp

    No more BSOD when I shutdown. However, I still have internet problems.

    I'm going to attempt a restart to fix the problem, I don't have the installation disk so is there anything I should know before I attempt?

    are you using a router? They do go bad. On the average, with 24 hour operation, they last about three years. When you say that you have lost internet connection, can you go into DOS and try pinging google or yahoo?

    I am using a router and the problem isn't apparent on any on my other devices. After it happens, ping 8.8.8.8 will not work; the problem hasn't shown up in safe mode however.

    How about if you ping the router?
    copy/paste "ipconfig -all" results from cmd

    As stated above, gather your information from the DOS command ipconfig (no need for the /all switch) get your default gateway ip address and ping that puppy i.e. if you have a Linksys router, the default ip address for the default gateway ( a big word for your router) is 192.168.1.1

    Here's the four things you should do in order

    A) ping 127.0.0.1 this tests to make sure your IP/TCP stack is installed (network software)

    B) ping your network interface card's IP address (gather this info with the ipconfig command)

    C) Ping your default gateway (i.e. 192.168.1.1) This will tell you if you can ping your router

    D) Now ping yahoo.com or google.com

    You have stated that your other devices work good, so a bad router is definitely not the issue. (flakey routers have did me in a couple of times--it happens)

    Also, when you ping google.com or whomever copy and paste the results in your reply

    And for jokes do a tracert google.com

    Well, your copy and paste is unreadable, (disable word wrap) but when you said that the TCP/IP stack was OK , but nothing else, then I have to pronounce your NIC dead.. You might want to uninstall it and try reinstalling it again. But to make sure, go to DOS again, type in ipconfig (don't do the ipconfig /all) and hit enter. Make sure you are pinging your NIC (network interface card) IP address, then ping the router aka default gateway

    I don't see any ping to 192.168.1.105 (NIC IP) and 192.168.1.1(gateway). Just loopback and google.

    Please include
    ping 192.168.1.105
    ping 192.168.1.1

    as well in your next post.
