    homegroup name


    how do i change the homegroup name for a pc such tom shown as tom-pc on the network I wish to change the network name for the pc I have changed the user name but can't find the location of the network name yet
    I am sure one of you will now

    Start->type: change computer name
    select: Rename this computer

    You can also reach this option(s) in other ways.

    I have change the user account name and change the computer name but when you go into drive C: the user name has not changed and there is only one user and public how do I change it there

    Changing a username does not change the homedirectory.

    Backup the data from your user account directory.

    Create a new account, instead of changing the account name, and delete the old account.

    Might be more smart things to do out there, but this one should work.
