Filezilla FTP Server Help

Hi, I'm trying to set up an FTP server using Filezilla, and following this How-to. I've opened a port in Windows Firewall and my router, restricted all IPs other than my tablet which I'm testing connecting to the server with, but now when I try to connect Filezilla from the PC it's saying 'Warning: FTP over TLS is not enabled, users cannot securely log in.'. I have no idea how to sort this out - I've found the FTP over TLS page in Filezilla settings but don't know what to do with it!

Can anyone help me out with this please?

Who displayed that message? The client or server?

In either case, it's a warning reffering to the insecure nature of FTP. As it's a plain text protocol, every data exchange within it is sent in the clear, including passwords. As such, you should never use it over the internet anymore, as anyone can trivially get your credentials. For use within a local network it may be still adecuate, though.
This message only points this inherent flaw of the protocol and suggest FTPS instead, which uses encryption.

OK, thanks. So basically don't use FTP?

It was the server software displaying the message.
