Right/left click the icon and see where you can get to. I wonder if its antenna is damaged? Check the Wireless page in router management too. Screenshots of both will be good.

Well now that I had my wireless showing up I called my cable company and after talking with their tech person and going over the router settings. We found out that it looks like the settings for the router are set for newer high tech. He said he could go through changing settings with me to see if we could find one that worked for the computer but then a lot of the newer items that we have in the house wouldn't be able to connect with the new settings. So it looks like we are going to be shopping for a new computer. Thank you so much for all your help!! I definitely will come back here if I ever have any computer problems!!

I guess you only need a new wireless adapter, a new computer is overkill.

A friend suggested I try an adapter first too. So that is what I am going to try before I go buy a new computer. Cheaper solution for sure! Hope it works!
