    Slow/jittering page load times

    Edit:
    Link to the solution:
    Slow/jittering page load times

    -------

My page load times are between 5-30 seconds for some sites, mostly 10+, while they are between 0.5-2 for others. I have checked multiple of the slower pages with external tools and they all report under 3 secs of load time.

The same thing is happening on Firefox 38.0.1, IE 8 and Chromium portable.

I have tried multiple DNS servers, all tested to be fast, no difference. I guess the ip's are cached anyway...

The fun thing is, using Tor browser makes the slow ones load regularly (in about 1-3 secs).

    My internet speed is 90 Mb/s / 20 Mb/s.

Specs according to the sticky thread:

    1. Wired connection

    2. ISP? UPC

    3. What type of Broadband connection are you using?
    Cable

    4. What is the exact Make and Model of your Modem, Router or Modem/Router Combo
    Ubee EVW3226

    5. What is the Name of the Anti-Virus, Security or Firewall Software installed from the problematic computer
G Data 2014, turning off the firewall makes no difference.

    6. ipconfig /all

As I remember, I had the same problem with a different ISP and modem previously.

    Your replys are much appreciated.

    Try with add-ons disabled.

You can also try with ZenMate free, no registration required, a browser based VPN service, to eliminate ISP issues. (Doesn't work with IE though).

I will try Zenmate, but I believe my issue is not ISP related. The pages load flawless on another pc on the same network.

You can also try Safe Mode with Networking. If it works ok, try another account - User Account - Create

Thank you, we are getting closer now. The pages load very fast in safe mode, both in IE 8 and Chromium. Firefox bsod's when I start it.

Alright, after trying with another user account, also try a clean startup - Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

Since I restarted to enter safe mode and then booted back to normal, the pages load fast.
I noticed it in the past that a restart makes it faster, but since I always hibernate the computer I forgot about this.
I will see if it slows down after a hibernation. Thanks.

After hibernation (I have hybrid sleep turned off) it went back to being slow.
