What is the process that is taking all the processor? if it is explorer I would suspect it relates to some form of remote resource - if it is explorer check the address of any remote mapped shares, it may be a simple miss-spelling

News Flash - IT indicated they will need to upgrade the domain controllers to work with Windows 7. That would explain why it's so slow. It's a known issue and they're working on it.
