Sorry about that - here's the remaining errors that SFC couldn't fix...

Most of these files are commonly corrupted by a well-known hack to circumvent activation requirements.

Please follow this tutorial and post an MGADiag report -

Ignore errors produced when clicking on the Copy button - they simply mean that the tool could not create the backup files for some reason. The data is still copied to the clipboard for pasting to your response.

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

The install is indeed counterfeit
You have a motherboard produced 2 years before windows 7 was released, claiming to have a WIndows7-compliant SLIC table in the BIOS.
The motherboard is a retail one - the Product Key is from an ACER computer.

You need to reformat and reinstall using genuine media and Key.

I was hoping this wouldn't come to reinstall. It scares me a bit, because I haven't done that ever since I bought the computer (there was no need), and over the years...well, you know how we all adjust and customize the apps, plugins and PC settings. Plus, all the files, bookmarks, Outlook messages etc,etc which will need to be exported and imported (and I am sure I will forget something which I am now even not aware of)
It will be impossible for me to get it all back exactly as it is now.

In short...is there any other way to solve FF Server not found errors without reinstalling the whole OS?

Nothing will really solve all your problems until you have a demonstrably genuine system - hacks have a nasty habit of being accompanied by malware, and are a form of rootkit.

the WET tool is for doing data/settings transfer between computers..
Windows Easy Transfer - Transfer To & From Computers
It's not infallible - and you need to back up any data that's not in the standard locations (i.e. My Docs, My Pics, etc.) separately.

The only alternative is to purchase a FULL license for Windows 7 Ultimate (after fixing the current problems) and swap the Product Key in, hoping that it works properly.

Btw, I forgot to mention: I have never had this kind of issue in the last 4 years. (It started to appear two months ago.)
Besides, I regularly check the system with CCleaner and Super AntiSpyware Professional.
My point is - if there was a malware in my system it will appear before...It wouldn't be sleeping this long, would it?

Rootkits are designed to be transparent to the operating system - so they don't get seen and removed easily.
Activation Exploits actually load before Windows does - and then load modified versions of Windows files which may or may not have the effect of malware, but certainly affect the ability of the system to run smoothly.
Best action is ALWAYS to reformat and reinstall with genuine media and Key.
