Windows 7: wifi interference

Hello everybody. I have been looking for windows 7 forums for 2 days now and am proud to have found this site.



I have a gateway LT2030U: with an atheros ar5b95 wireless card. I'm running windows 7 home starter.

My router is a linksys wrt110 range plus.

My roomate has an ibm thinkpad x60 running windows xp home sp2, and an intel 3945 abgn card.

Also I have an asus eeepc 1000h with xp home sp3 and an intel 3945 abgn card.

Heres the issue I'm having: the asus can be wirelessly connected while the gateway or the thinkpad is wirelessly connected- no problem

the gateway will not allow the thinkpad to connect/stay connected wirelessly.

If the gateway is not connected but the thinkpad is, when the gateway wireless is turned on; it then freezes the thinkpads connection and none of the 3 laptops can connect to the router.

If the gateway is connected when the thinkpad turns it's wireless on then it will sometimes be able to connect, but it will ALWAYS boot the gateway off the router.

The gateway has no selectable "channel" setting. The thinkpad is set to channel 4, the asus is set to channel 7. The router is set to whatever is the linksys default channel.

I know there is probably alot more info you guys need, so just lemme know and I will get it ASAP. In the mean time, ANY HELP will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for looking at my post.
