    Wifi adapter

Hi all nice to be here.
Now this is my scenario. .laptop acer 5349
Made image (custom)from acer laptop with 2gb,250gb hdd, win7 home prem. and restored to 500 gb Seagate hdd and added 4 more gb ram.
Everything went well..ram shows up ..hard drive good.
However. ...there is no way to make wifi adapter to work. Ive read on the back of pc model of adapter..found drivers...installed and still cannot connect to internet. I can do with cable but not wifi. I can see network computers, router..thats not a problem.
So...how can we make this thing to work?

Does the laptop keyboard Fn key?

Is there some other key that turns the wireless radio on/off when used in combination with the Fn key? Look for symbols on the function keys.

Ive tried that..then tried reset, uninstall and still nothing.
Im thinking to try with another wifi card..broadcombcm43142,or i have another intell wifi adapter. What do u think?

I've never tried to changed cards like that in a laptop. The need has never come up.

Perhaps other forum members can chime in on how well that works.

Perhaps boot with Linux Mint MATE DVD/USB and see if wireless works.

Is there no wireless network adapter in Device Manager - Network Adapters?
