Yes i think i do sense its just 1 item , its odd sense ive never had one like this its a TG1672G and when i checked the gateway its only port triggering and Virtual Servers and no port forewords so at 1st i thought it was just that reason i couldnt host or join

You would need to open the ports for the game server to your local ip, these combo units from what I have seen so far are pretty locked down. But you two are saying you have had no issues in the past with this and you both have not upgraded hardware (new modems for both or one of you)?

"open the ports for the game server to your local ip" what exactly do you mean? and i think gmod was the last game we played and work, and now that i think about it internet was changed to arris TWC, but i know i played gmod with portFrw before and after the change, so its odd it just closed out of no where

I have been having this model of router for a while now. My friend has moved address and is using a different modem/router and hes not directly connect to the modem like I am.But we were able to play about maybe 3/4 weeks ago just fine. we have portforwarded our servers. I mean everyone else can connect to him or I just fine. We used vpn, lan, peer to peer stuff (hamachi, tunggle, evolve) as a work around as well in case we werent portforwarding the servers properly but those werent working either. Its like our connections refuse to connect us together. Its just a weird situation. we can be in a same game as long as were both not hosting the game.

Do you have an xbox by chance either of you if so you can use its tool to check to see if your NAT is the issue.

Yeah either will you just need to plug it into the lan or wifi and have it run a network test it will tell you the NAT setting it sees. Also do you all live within like 3 miles of each other? It is still odd that your gf can connect to you but Fatal can't. I'm trying to see if your on the same node as her. Have her test her location with the test too.
