Unindentified local network after reboot

Hej! Been searching far and wide for a solution and seen many similar posts, but most doesn't seem right for me due to that I'm not using a switch nor a router, just cable.

What I've tried

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns

netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

uninstall and reinstall NIC, update NIC drivers
Used USB/ethernet device (same problem)
checked MS services.
Uninstalled Itunes, Bonjour

I supppose something has to be changed in Regedit?

Many thanks in advance!

Sebastian, Sweden

Try a different machine, or a Linux live boot disk in this machine.

Network & Sharing Center, make sure you have your wireless adapter "aimed" at your modem/router. I get that quite often, and find myself re-aiming my wireless adapter at my router/modem.

thanks for your replies, I don't use a router and by suggestion from a friend, that may cause the problem because I use same cable straight from the wall usually for my laptop. I will try release the IP (?) on my laptop and then connect it to my stationary to see if I get a new one from my ISP and see if that solves it. (not sure if I understand this correctly)
